May 13, 2016

The big inning came soon after the Riders (23-10) had tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the third on Ryan Cordell's ninth homer of the season. Six consecutive hitters reached in the inning, including Danry Vasquez on an RBI single and Chase McDonald with his two-run double.

Wolff went four innings for Frisco, giving up five runs on a career-high ten hits. Cody Palmquist worked a pair of scoreless innings out of the bullpen for the RoughRiders, striking out four.

After five innings from Corpus Christi starter Keegan Yuhl (2-1), who earned the win, Brendan McCurry earned ip the save, tossing a pair of perfect frames.

The second game of the doubleheader is scheduled to begin around 8:00 p.m. Right-hander David Perez (1-0, 7.50 ERA) is expected to make his first start of the season, squaring off against lefty Evan Grills, who is making his Double-A debut.
