The Burlington Royals are proud to announce the hiring of Taylor Cockerille as the team's new assistant general manager. Cockerille joins the Royals after serving as a Ticket Sales Executive for the Potomac Nationals, Single-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

Prior to her time with Potomac, Cockerille served as the Promotions Manager for the Lake Erie Crushers and interned with the Washington Redskins and Frederick Keys. A native of Strasburg, VA she graduated with a Bachelors in Buiness Administration in May 2016 from the University of Mary Washington. During her time at Mary Washington, she was a standout member of the UMW Track & Field team where she holds the school record in shot put and was named Capital Athletic Conference champion three times.
Cockerille joins General Manager Mikie Morrison on staff as the full- time employees of the Burlington Royals. Morrison is looking forward to working with Cockerille. "She has the drive and ambition that I was looking for in a candidate for this position. It's not easy to move away from her family like she is doing, but that just shows she wanted to seize this opportunity and come make a difference in Burlington," said Morrison.

"I'm honored to be named Assistant General Manager of the Burlington Royals," said Cockrille. "Coming from a very small town in the mountains of Virginia, it's great to be presented with an opportunity to work with an organization and staff that hold the same values and ideas about what baseball can bring to a small town community. From my first conversation with Mikie, I knew Burlington would be a great fit and there are a lot of great things happening in Burlington that I'm eager to be a part of."
As is common with the role of AGM in Burlington, Cockerille will wear a variety of hats. Her primary areas of focus for the Royals will be enhancing the Burlington Royals brand within the market, helping oversee the daily business operation, working closely with Morrison on corporate partnership efforts, and leading the Royals staff on group ticket packages and individual season tickets.
Season tickets are on sale now for the 2018 season. For any information regarding season tickets, group outings or ways to get your business involved with the Burlington Royals please call 336-222-0223 or visit burlingtonroyals.com
