Relief pitching continues to prove its dominance

Hammerheads bats have been hot as of late, but they would have to find other ways of scoring runs tonight other than crushing bombs and extra base hits.
Starting pitcher, Sean Guenther, worked quickly through the first two innings, but action on the bases came about in the 3rd inning for the Mets.

St. Lucie would draw first blood, scoring a runner from third during a pickle between 1st and 2nd base to take a 1-0 lead.
The lead wouldn't last long as Jupiter's Brian Miller knocked a single to center field, driving in Jarett Rindfleisch to tie the game 1-1 in the 3rd inning.
The Mets regained the lead in the 5th, plating one run to go on top 2-1. Through five innings, the Mets outhit the Hammerheads six to one, but that would change in the 6th inning.
Martín Prado sent a double down the left field line, scoring Justin Twine and tying the game 2-2.
Joe Dunand than hit a slow roller down the first base line which would be good enough to drive in Miller to put the Hammerheads on top, 3-2.
The Hammerheads never looked back, as the Mets were shut down the remainder of the night thanks to relief appearances by Alejandro Mateo, Parker Bugg and Kyle Keller.
Joe Dunand's 18 game hitting streak came to an end tonight, but that just means a new one begins Sunday (4/22) when the Hammerheads (13-3) face the Mets in the series finale.
First pitch set for 1:00pm.
