In the Kansas City Royals organization, the future starts in Burlington, North Carolina. Before the B-Royals home opener tomorrow, here is an update on all of the former B-Royals still in the Kansas City organization.
Royals Top 50 Prospects (According to MLB.com)
#3 Seuly Matias ('17) - Matias continues to tear it up with the Lexington Legends, leading all of MiLB in home runs with 22. Matias was named to the South Atlantic League All-Star Game, which took place earlier this week in Greensboro.
#5 Michael Gigliotti ('17) - Gigliotti has been sidelined with an injury since April 11.
#6 Nicky Lopez ('16) - Lopez has continued his outstanding season in AA Northwest Arkansas, hitting .321 with 12 extra-base hits and an on-base percentage of nearly .400. Lopez has also stolen nine bases and walked 32 times against only 22 strikeouts.
#8 Scott Blewett ('14) - Blewett has won four games and has a 5.70 ERA in 77.1 innings with Northwest Arkansas this season.
#9 Foster Griffin ('14) - Griffin holds a 5.71 ERA through 14 starts and 75.2 innings with Northwest Arkansas.
#12 Carlos Hernandez ('17) - Through eight starts with Lexington this season, Hernandez is 4-2 with a 4.86 ERA. He has struck out 42 batters in 37 innings pitched.
#16 Meibrys Viloria ('14, '15) - Viloria is hitting .224 with two home runs and 18 RBI in 170 at-bats.
#18 Daniel Tillo ('17) - Tillo has been strong for Wilmington thus far this season. He has a 3.23 ERA in six starts and opponents are only batting .200.
#24 Chase Vallot ('14) - Vallot is struggling, batting just .109, but does have six home runs and 20 RBI.
Kansas City Royals (MLB)
Salvador Perez ('08, '09) - Perez has had the power game on the display this season, crushing 11 home runs and driving in 32 runs.
Kevin McCarthy ('13) - McCarthy has made 28 relief appearances for Kansas City this season and has a 3.73 ERA.
Ramón Torres ('13) - Torres has been with Kansas City since mid-May and has played in nine games. He has five hits and four runs scored in 28 at-bats.
Omaha Storm Chasers (AAA)
Terrance Gore ('12) - Gore is hitting just .206 with Omaha but has stolen 13 bases.
Kevin Lenik ('17) - Lenik has made 22 relief appearances for Omaha and has a 4.65 ERA with three saves in 31 innings pitched.
Humberto Arteaga ('12) - Arteaga is off to a strong start to 2018 with Omaha, hitting .285 in 200 at-bats with two home runs and 27 RBIs.
Logan Moon ('14) - Moon has struggled as the starting right fielder for Omaha, hitting just .193 in 114 at-bats.
Manny Olloque ('14) - After an impressive season with low-A Lexington in 2017, Olloque made the jump all the way to AAA Omaha to start 2018. Manny has six hits in nine games and has driven in two runs.
Luis Villegas ('13, '15) - After a strong start to the season in Northwest Arkansas, Villegas was called-up to Omaha on June 16.
Northwest Arkansas Naturals (AA)
Jake Kalish ('15) - Kalish was sent back down to Northwest Arkansas on June 13. He has a combined 4.63 ERA between Omaha and Northwest Arkansas this season.
Andres Machado ('13, '14) - In eight appearances with Northwest Arkansas, Machado is 0-2 with an ERA just over five.
Andrew Edwards ('13) - Edwards spent 2017 between Wilmington, Northwest Arkansas and Omaha. He was set to begin 2018 with Northwest Arkansas but has been sidelined all year due to injury.
Zach Lovvorn ('13) - Lovvorn has made 13 starts with the Naturals. He has four wins and a 5.24 ERA in 68.2 innings.
Yunior Marte ('14) - Marte has been a very reliable bullpen arm for Northwest Arkansas. In 23 appearances he has a 3.22 ERA and has struck out 47 in 44.2 innings.
Walker Sheller ('16) - Sheller has made 17 relief appearances since his call-up to Northwest Arkansas. He has a 4.91 ERA in 25.2 innings.
Nathan Esposito ('16) - In 44 at-bats, Esposito is hitting just .159 with one RBI.
Alfredo Escalera ('13) - Escalera is batting just .130 in 54 at-bats with Northwest Arkansas.
Anderson Miller ('15) - Miller is having a very strong season with the Naturals, hitting .278 with seven home runs and 29 RBI in 226 at-bats.
Jacob Bodner ('15) - It has been a struggle for Bodner through six appearances in Northwest Arkansas. He currently has an ERA of 17.05.
Wilmington Blue Rocks
Justin Camp ('16) - Camp has been a reliable relief option for the Blue Rocks in 2018, posting a 3.76 ERA in 18 appearances.

Cristian Castillo ('16) - Castillo has thrown 50.1 innings in Wilmington this season and has a 5.90 ERA and a 2-5 record.
Gabe Cramer ('15) - Cramer's 1.98 ERA with three saves for Wilmington in 2017 turned some heads, but he has not yet made an appearance in 2018 due to injury.
Jose Veras ('16) - Called up to Wilmington at the end of 2017, Veras was outstanding in 15 innings for the Blue Rocks, producing a 1.80 ERA. Unfortunately, he has also not pitched in 2018 due to injury.
D.J. Burt ('14) - Burt has taken off this season in Wilmington. In 49 games he is batting .290 and has stolen 18 bases.
Chris DeVito ('16) - In 202 at-bats this season, DeVito is batting just .178, but he has driven in 23 runs.
Kort Peterson ('16) - Peterson is having a very good year for Wilmington, batting .292 with eight home runs and 33 RBI in 219 at-bats.
Vance Vizcaino ('16) - Vizcaino has been a solid bat in the Wilmington order since his call-up, hitting .284 in 22 games.
Oliver Nunez ('17) - Nunez has struggled in his 21 games with Wilmington, batting just .209.
Carter Hope ('14) - Since his call-up to Wilmington earlier this season, Hope has made 11 appearances out of the bullpen for the Blue Rocks. He has three wins, two saves and a 3.95 ERA.
Julio Pinto ('14, '15) - Pinto has a 4.70 ERA in 7.2 innings pitched for the Blue Rocks.
Travis Jones ('17) - After his torrid start to the year in Lexington, Jones was called up to Wilmington on June 21.
Lexington Legends
Marten Gasparini ('14) - Gasparini has struggle in his first 52 games of the season, batting .222 with 14 RBI.
Dennicher Carrasco ('17) - Carrasco has been solid with Lexington this season, batting .251 in 167 at-bats. He has 14 extra-base hits and has driven in 25 runs.
Sebastian Rivero ('17) - Rivero's strong first half of the 2018 season earned him a spot in the SAL All-Star Game.
Julio Gonzalez ('17) - Gonzalez has appeared in six games for the Legends this year. He has four hits and driven in three runs.
Sal Biasi ('17) - Biasi has made 17 appearances out of the bullpen for the Legends and has a 5.33 ERA in 25.1 innings.
Collin Snider ('17) - It has been a rough go for Snyder this season. He has a 6.75 ERA in 42.2 innings.
Nolan Watson ('15, '17) - Watson has made 13 starts for Lexington this season and has a 5.81 ERA in 66.2 innings. He threw a complete game shutout on June 15.
Tyler Zuber ('17) - Zuber has been great out of the bullpen for Lexington this season. In 21 appearances he has a 2.96 ERA and eight saves. Zuber has 39 strikeouts in just 24.1 innings.
Garrett Davila ('16) - An important part of the Legends' rotation, Davila has a 3.66 ERA in 12 appearances and 51.2 innings.
Andres Sotillet ('17) - Soitillet has been great as a member of Lexington's starting rotation. In 66.1 innings he has a 2.98 ERA, five wins and 63 strikeouts.
