Friday night under the lights was in store of Daniel Castano and company.
Riley Mahan got things started for the Hammerheads in the 2nd inning, singling to right field and scoring Brian Miller to take the 1-0 lead.
Stone Garrett than hit a ground ball to shortstop, which would bring in Joe Dunand to put Jupiter on top 2-0.

In the 4th inning, Boo Vazquez showed great hustle, extending a routine single in right-center field, into a double. After Miller singled (4 for 5), Vazquez advanced to third and Corey Bird would drive him in with a single of his own, making it 3-0 Jupiter.
Dunand would follow with an RBI ground out to plate Jarett Rindfleisch for the fourth Hammerheads run of the game.
With the offense putting runs on the board early, it was up to starting pitcher, Daniel Castano to do his part and he did just that.
The Mets were hitless through the first four innings. However, they did notch four hits and two runs in the 5th inning to cut the Hammerheads lead to 4-2.
Jupiter would get a run of their own in the bottom half on a Justin Twine infield single to score Garret, putting the Hammerheads ahead 5-2.
Castano regained control and pitched a three up, three down 6th and 7th innings.
Final line for Castano: 7 IP. 4 H. 2 R. 3 SO.
Vincenzo Aiello and Lukas Schiraldi pitched the final two frames, retiring the Mets lineup in order, making it eight of the nine innings that Hammerhead pitchers only faced three batters.
Joe Dunand's first inning single extended his hitting streak to 18 games, dating back to last season.
Winning six in a row, the Hammerheads will look to make it seven Saturday (4/21) for game 2 vs the St. Lucie Mets.
First pitch set for 5:30pm.
